Talking Rock, the third smallest town in the state, is located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains between the towns of Ellijay and Jasper. Founded in 1883, the town prides itself on not having changed much since. The Heritage Days Festival celebrates the town’s history. In its quaintness, there are antique stores and a schoolhouse museum. The website for the town says it all, “it’s an unforgettable name and an unforgettable place.”
